Each year the ASMF Board review applications and grant awards in three categories. These include:
1. The Australian Security Valour Medal (ASVM) which recognises acts of bravery over the past year by members of the security industry;
2. The Australian Security Medal (ASM) which recognises outstanding contribution to the professionalism and standing of the Australian Security Sector, and
3. The Save a Life Awards, presented in conjunction with St.John Ambulance Australia, which recognise first-aid and life-saving interventions by members of the security industry.
Eligibility criteria and nomination forms can be found on the Nominate page. It is important to address the criterion for each award inn your nominations.
In 2025 the awards will be presented as part of the ASIAL Outstanding Performance Awards event (The OSPA’s) to be held at the Park Hyatt Melbourne, Thursday 30th October in Melbourne.
